I hold a PhD in History from the University of Auckland. The title of my thesis is: Zionism ‘at the uttermost ends of the earth’: A New Zealand Social History c.1900-1948.
In 2012 I co-founded Holocaust and Antisemitism Foundation Aotearoa New Zealand (formerly Shadows of Shoah Trust) for whom I conduct interviews and research. In 2023 I completed the scholars-in-residence ISGAP course on curriculum development for Critical Antisemitism Studies, at University of Oxford.
My areas of special interest include NZ, Jewish and Māori history and social issues. My articles have been published in the NZ Herald, Newsroom, Stuff, E-Tangata, Jerusalem Post, Tablet Mag and elsewhere. Many are available on this site.
